May Long Weekend Update

  • May. 20th, 2008 at 9:48 AM

Hi!

We are back from our weekend away in Kingston to see Brad and Karsha! We had a wonderful time! I really didn't want to come home...lol. As a whole, it was so much fun. Their home is georgous. I can't believe how nice it was. It was so tastefully decorated and I really loved the candles in the archway and I loved the upstairs bathroom onsuite from the master bedroom and the his and her sinks. Our new van is amazing and ran awsome the whole way there and back. Paul was so wonderful the entire time. He didn't really fuss. He didn't sleep near as long as he does at home, but he was so excited, who could sleep? He slept the whole night every night, and went to bed easily. He was warming up to Karsha by the end. He loved being a ham. We all went out to a greek resturant for dinner Sat night, and Paul was so good, that we even had a few people who were dining there come over and tell us how wonderful he was and asked if he was always that good? (even though he was 2 hours past his usual bedtime!!). When we went to Karsha's parents house on Sunday, he even sat on a real chair in between Chris and I at dinner and he didn't fall off, fuss or anything. He was a perfect angel!

Now for the details:

Mom got to our house by 7:40am. We packed up the van and we were leaving officially by 8:30am (b/c we had to turn around to get Paul's soother). lol. We only made one stop on the other side of Toronto on the way there and made it to Brad's house shortly after 1pm. We got the grand tour and their house is amazing. We gave Paul a bottle, and set up his room where he would be staying which is their "guitar room". Then Paul went down for a nap. Brad, and Chris worked on Brads garden outside while mom, Karsha and I supervised. When we left for dinner around 6:30pm. We had a really nice dinner and it was so nice to be with our family.

When we got back, we put Paul down for bed, and we watched the baseball game brad had taped and everyone but me had a few drinks. We went to bed around midnight or so.

Sunday morning, Chris got up with Paul, and I got up shortly afterwards, to find them outside on the deck having a bottle. It was adorable, so I got dressed and gave Paul his cereal and put him down for his nap by 9am. Shortly afterwards, Brad, Mom and Karsha got up and we had bacon eggs and toast for breakfast. Brad even bought bacon! (they are vegetarian...so this amused us). After breakfast, we hung out and that was fun. In the afternoon, we went on the 1000 island cruise. IT was a 2 hour event. You saw a lot of very neat things. It would have been better for me, if I was sea sick..lol. I didn't really move, and had to stay inside, but Paul loved it and so did everyone there. It was a nice way to spend the afternoon. When we got back, we put Paul down for a late nap. Brad and Chris went to home hardware, while Karsha straightened my hair and mom supervised. They got back just as Paul woke up from his nap, and we went to Karsha's parents house for dinner. We had a BBQ, which was so nice. Karsha's parents are very cool, I can see why they like going there so much :P

When we got back to the house, Paul went to bed, and I decided to try tequilla. I've NEVER had this before ever...or even done a shot ever. IT was quite amusing. Chris took a video of me doing my first shot. He laughed himself silly over it. Karsha had to tell me how to do it, b/c she's a pro at it. I guess her and Tequilla get along just fine. lol. SO, I had 2 regular shots and one double. I was pretty funny after that. Then Brad made strawberry daquires for everyone and I took my pill with that...lol I thought it quite amusing to do. lol Then, they made us nachos and cheese. YUM! Then Mom went to bed. Chris, Karsha and I played cards till 1:30am!!!!

Monday, we got up, had a nice breakfast and packed up all our stuff. We were on the road by 11:45am and we got home by 5pm. Traffic was alright surprisingly, and I had to stop like 3 times to pee. lol. Mom made it home by 7pm. It was a really good weekend. I was so proud of Paul for handling the really long car ride and seeing new people and being in a different bed and the whole bit. He's my baby!

Go away, green days...GO AWAY!

Hi!

Okay...this is officially day THREE of me feeling nausous :( It needs to end N.O.W. *shakes fist* On other news, Chris woke me up at 6:15am this morning. We never did go back to sleep. Stupid sun. Paul even slept longer than us...piff. Plus, we were still up at midnight b/c I couldn't sleep, and Chris kept talking to me. I don't mind that much :P

So, being that we were up and not sleeping, we were discussing a variety of subjects, one of which is ttc for number 2. We decided..not ME...WE..decided that as soon as this pack is done, that I just won't go back on the pill. Chris said, "whats one more month anyways?" So, as of this saturday. It will be my last pill. *EEEKKKK* lol. I'm kinda excited about it :P I am not even really sure HOW it happened...how we decided it...but I guess it was that Chris asked me how many packs I had left and I told him one. (of BCP) and he said he'd thought I was done after this one I am on now...and I said no. He seemed a bit disappointed, so I asked if he wanted me to stop after this month, because it didn't really matter to me, or go one more, (thus his above comment) and we are just going to give it a whirl. (on the condition that I will still have sex with him for the rest of his life, and not stop after we have our second baby).

This might be my last entry before I get back from our long weekend. I'm very excited about our trip. We get our van tonight and it's apparently silver, for those who care, and we are taking it to Kingston tomorrow. Mom is meeting us here in the morning and we will be off. Brad has made reservations at a resturant for Sat night for our mothers day gift to mom and then Sun we are going to Karsha's parents house for dinner :) We also might go on that 1000 mile cruise on Sun if it doesn't rain. I am bringing gravol for the occasion! lol

I dyed my hair this morning so I am no longer super grey. I have the last load of laundry in the dryer. I have Chris and I basically packed and most of Paul's clothes packed. (I have a pair of his pjs in the dryer that I want to bring). I also have to pack a bottle and supper for Paul for tonight on his way to pick up our new vehicle. Lots of things going on!!!

I have dishes to do and I have to water the cats today as well. All before 1pm. (Chris gets off at 1pm and then we are heading to my work to drop me off).

Anyways, I am going to run...I'm SOOOO hungry. Gotta find some breakfast! Leave a note

Anyways, it was a very nice visit. We got to the hairdressers by 6:30pm and it was 9pm when we left. Paul did fabulous. He only cried when we first got him in the chair and things, and then he settled down and did a wonderful job! We were so proud of him!!! Now he looks so handsome for his visit to Uncle Brad and Aunt Karsha's house this weekend!!!!

Today, I got approved to use an hour of stat time to take Paul to the specialist appointment, so I am going along. I'm looking forward to it. Chris and I are both going. I'm sure the dr will tell us everything is fine, but I always am up for a second opinion especially when it comes to my babes and his health. Jamie, our babysitter will be here around 3pm to look after Paul while Chris goes out and cuts grass. I'm doing our laundry today and I will do Paul's tomorrow so he has an optimum amt of clothes to go away this weekend with.

Tomorrow, Chris is dropping me off at work and he and Paul are going up to get our new vehicle!!! I'm very excited. Most especially by the amount of gas we will save compaired to this vehicle we have been driving all winter. He wont' be back in the area till 10 when he can pick me up. So I have to make sure that we are basically all packed and ready to go before 1pm tomorrow when Chris will get home.

Mom is coming up Sat morning early and we are going to be leaving by like 8am...so very exciting. I am a little bit worried as to how well Paul will do in the vehicle for several hours. His longest car ride was like 3 hours, so I am not really sure how he will do...but I *hope* he does well. *crosses fingers* Plus, his nose will be out of joint being back in the backseat again. haha. (we have a truck with no backseat, so he's been in the front this whole winter).

Anyways, I am going to run. I'm hungry....as always. Have a great day!
