because i just realized....

damn was i the only one who enjoyed this week's code geass?
Am I that 'off' from the rest of the fandom? If so... thank gawd!
As it should be. I understand Lelouch to a point that it's really scary, but I guess that's what happens when you pay attention to only him for the first season and not even the plot.

What his paln is for ep 8... well that'll be a mystery until next week, now won't it?
I never write off my favourite characters, even if they become the big bad. What kind of fan would i be?

Ive watched this blog now for a few weeks. Before pregnancy I weighed 230. Im not with the father of my child due to the fact he is married to someone else. So stress is a huge in my life. Im 25 and currently living with my parents till August. Im due October 31st. Quick little blurb about me.

How far along are you? 16 weeks and 3 days

What symptoms are you experiencing? moody, hormonal, sleepless nights, streaching pain, and breast tenderness still

How are you feeling? fighting off stress, tired, but other than that there are days i dont feel pregnant at all

Any appointments this week and how did they go? I had an appointment last week and all is going well. the baby's heart beat is 150 and ive only gained one pound in the past month which they say is good. June 19th i find out the sex of the baby.

Anything going on in your personal life? always. my life is drama. I just really wish the baby's father would aknowledge the fact that this is really going to be happening and stop ignoring me.

Food cravings? Berries, Taco Bell, and chocolate milk

Favorite things this week about being pregnant? I love watching people get excited for me.

Pictures? not yet. my bump is still alot like my normal belly.

Hi. I figured I might as well stop lurking.

How far along are you? 19 and a half weeks

What symptoms are you experiencing? A little bit of random cramping now and then, a little bit of pregnancy related carpal tunnel, and a lot of food aversions (eggs, swiss cheese and chicken. there goes a large part of my diet!)

How are you feeling? Tired, but overall well.

Any appointments this week and how did they go? None this week, next is a week from Friday (21 weeks, it'd have been at 20, but we're going out of town for Memorial Day). We'll do the anatomy ultrasound then. We had the alpha fetoprotein test at the last visit (16 weeks) and since we haven't heard from our OB, things must have been fine :)

Anything going on in your personal life? A lot of work stress, but not much else. My husband's been amazingly supportive.

Food cravings? Not really -- mostly aversions. Haven't turned down dessert once though ;)

Favorite things this week about being pregnant? The anticipation of feeling baby move for the first time. Not yet, but soon I hope!

Update/Intro

Hi, I'm new to this community so I thought I'd introduce myself and fill out an update. My name is Melissa and me and my hubby are expecting our first baby this Decemeber! I'm overweight, much of it from bipolar medications which is really frustrating. My pre-pregnancy weight is almost 200lbs. I was told by my gyno I should only gain 15lbs the most for my pregnancy. It's nice to be here for support!

How far along are you? 10 weeks

What symptoms are you experiencing? Still burpy but the nauseous feelings are going away as the second trimester approaches! : )

How are you feeling? very happy about being pregnant!

Any appointments this week and how did they go? My next appt is June 4th--going for a prenatal visit and sono.

Anything going on in your personal life? Life is pretty good...nothing out of the ordinary.

Food cravings? it's weird--some days salty foods but mostly sweets.

Favorite things this week about being pregnant? Just knowing I have a baby on the way! :)

Week 37 Update

  • May. 17th, 2008 at 5:16 PM
Hi! I posted in this community a little during the beginning of my pregnancy and then took a hiatus from lj. But now I've started updating my journal again and checking in on communities, so this is where I'm currently at.

How far along are you? 37 weeks and 5 days

What symptoms are you experiencing? difficulty breathing at night, "tired" ribs

How are you feeling? tired off and on, a little achy, but generally pretty good - I really expected to be totally miserable during the last month of pregnancy, but I'm only maybe about 20% miserable!

Any appointments this week and how did they go? Tuesday - 1 cm dilated, positive for GBS. My blood pressure was slightly elevated for the second time during pregnancy, but the nurse checked it again towards the end of the appointment and it was dropping back down.

Anything going on in your personal life? We're trying to get the house nice and clean - my husband is nesting a whole lot more than I am. Also My husband is applying for a job and is a bit stressed out by the timing.

Food cravings? junky sweets

Favorite things this week about being pregnant? My due date is so close! I can't wait to meet our little boy!

Pictures? Photos from yesterday... )

I'm an ultrasound tech and we are always told that doctors never change due dates from the first ultrasound, but I was curious if any of you had your dates changed? I had an ultrasound early due to some slight bleeding about a week before my normally scheduled first appointment. At that time he dated my pregnancy about a week earlier than I had thought based on my last mentrual period (7w4d). One week later at my normal visit he did another ultrasound since my husband was there, and got measurments a week later than I should have been, which would put me back in line with my original dates(9w3d). He didn't change the due date because he said it wasn't too terribly much different. I've had another ultrasound for my first trimester screen, which also put me at my original dates(13w2d, not 12w3d as the first ultrasound showed). We also did one at work to check for gender which again, put me at my original dates (14w4d). Now obviously a week isn't a big difference and he is going to come when he is good and ready but I suppose I was just curious if you guys had experienced anything similar, had your dates been changed? When people ask, I hate saying, "oh somewhere between a little over 15 and a little over 16 weeks." So opinions? Thoughts? What would you consider yourself? Thanks everyone!

and well it wasn't too bad, but I HATE that they changed their appearances. I HATE that they didn't use Frank Welker. HE'S STILL ALIVE YOU ASSHOLES. I mean there are only 2 megatrons that should have been used, 1) Frank Welker the original; and 2) David Kaye.

And what the fuck was up with Optimus swinging around like a gorilla? This is the classic Optimus, not Beast Wars version, you idiots. But at least the were kind enough to use Peter Cullen, the original Optimus Prime. #2 is Gary Chalk (Garry).

But the world is not kind to voice actors, they'd rather use actors who honestly fail at doing voices. Why? who the fuck knows.

Sugre was in it! I think he got hurt or something thought cuz he disappeared somewhere into it. Naturally they kept Leo around.

Sugre = Prison Break
Leo = All My Children = Josh D____ something. He'll always be Leo to me.

Tom Lenk (Andrew, BtVS) was in it a bit more than i thought he would be considering his character was nameless: "Analyst". He even had a few speaking lines, and really another nerd? XD Didn't come across gay though, sadly.

Also what the hell was up with the Decepticons speaking non-english? I don't remember no subs as translations. Major fail. Autobots can speak English, but Decepticons can't? umm, yeah... that makes sense, you idiots. And it's the Junkions (forgive the spelling, the bots from the planet of Junk) that speak TV, not the Autobots. Starscream was even half a crazy as he should have been. He was always a coward.

Also, BTW, Scorponok didn't appear until Beast Wars. Animal-like Transformers were RARE in the original series, which is what this movie claimed to be based off of. At some point they do make the Dinobots, as completely stupid as they are.

Weekly Update

1. How far along are you? 17 weeks, 5 days
2. What symptoms are you experiencing? irritability (I feel sorry for my husband!) heartburn, headaches and body aches.
3. How are you feeling? Besides the irritability, I'm feeling pretty good. I really can't wait for it to be summer!
4. Any appointments coming up? I had my checkup last week and did the "early glucose testing" on Thursday. I didn't have GD with my son, so why they are testing me early, just because I'm fat, is beyond me. I have my BIG ultrasound next Friday, although we wont be finding out the sex, we like surprises!
5. Anything big happening in your personal life? Hubby is painting (we just put on an addition) and school is almost over! (I teach 5th grade, only 4 weeks to go!)
6. Questions, comments, complaints, observations? My boobs look huge, but I haven't had to get new bras...thank goodness. I'm not doing as well with taking pictures as I'd like to and I'm already hating wearing maternity clothes, BUT I really DO LOVE being pregnant...I'm just really irritable right now.
7. Show us Belly pictures! I have one from 14 weeks...we were on vacation in Vegas, baby!

So Dylan is here. And he is perfect. I had a c-section, but i'm okay with it. I had a WONDERFUL experience! I felt nothing! And Dr Harden was amazing. She let me have relaxing music, and three little birds played when he was born. He is absolutely perfect, and nurses like a champ! He was 10 lbs. 2 ounces, and now is 9 4. He lost some weight but gained 4 ounces in one day. My milk is completely in. We had a hard time latching at first, and when he gets really upset he is hard to latch, but once he is on, hes on! Sometimes doesn't come off for an hr. Haha. Noah is amazing with him, and loves him so much. I am really lucky, and do not feel taken away, or regret having this c-section. I had awesome care, and was able to nurse my baby right away. I am very lucky :)

On to the pics!

Update

How far along are you? 14 weeks 4 days

What symptoms are you experiencing? I had thought the morning sickness was starting to abate, but then I puked this morning. My allergies suck--I have so much sinus pressure that my head feels like it's about to explode regardless of my allergy meds. Peeing all the freaking time. Some round ligiment pain and a little discomfort in the uterus. I've lost 12 pounds from all the nauseau and puking.

How are you feeling? Tired, headachy, sneezy

Any appointments this week and how did they go? I saw my diabetes education nurse earlier this week. My next OB is a week from Tuesday. Things are going ok.

Anything going on in your personal life? I finish my primary job in 2 weeks. Then we go to Cali for a few weeks and then the level 2 ultrasound on 6/20!

Food cravings? I've found that I've gone through phases. First it was peanut butter toast, then it was ice cream, and currently I like eating peanut butter crackers and cookie crisp--together.

Favorite things this week about being pregnant? I had a few nausea free days.

Pictures? I have a few, but I'll share them later in the pregnancy when it's more than just my regular belly.

True Tears has character songs?

  • May. 15th, 2008 at 3:51 PM
Well at least one anything. Who knew? Not I.

That aside, it's Aiko.
And it's a FLAC file, the best i could do at this point.

~MegaUpload~

Yes, it's 30MB, and yes it's just one song, but that's what you get with a flac file.

1. How far along are you? 23w1d
2. What symptoms are you experiencing? Swollen feet and general lack of energy
4. Any appointments coming up? Had a pre-natal this week - Heard the baby's heartbeat for the first time. Also, found out the baby is sideways and a c-section is becoming a possibility
5. Anything big happening in your personal life? Nope
6. Questions, comments, complaints, observations? I am frustrated 99% of Canadian maternity stores don't cater to plus-sized women
7. Show us Belly pictures! OK!

baby belly, I has one )

ETA: C-section was brought up because the baby has been sideways for all 6 ultrasounds and my Dr. is not my OB, as she (my OB) won't take me on until 28 weeks. Also, I have another medical condition that may require me to have a c-section anyways, so this is just one more thing that might require the c-section. It's not that it's definite, the Dr. just wanted me to be in the loop on where everything stands and possible outcomes :)

How far along are you? 17 weeks and 2 days

What symptoms are you experiencing? Belly button pains, lots of headaches which has been concerning me.

How are you feeling? Most days I'm good, today I'm a little stressed but it's wearing off.

Any appointments this week and how did they go? No appointments until the 27th.

Anything going on in your personal life? Nah, just wishing my husband's boss would, you know... be a better boss.

Food cravings? Bell peppers and cucumbers. All the time. That's all I want on a regular basis. With random cravings for Taco Bell and pizza from a local pizza place scattered in between.

Favorite things this week about being pregnant? I'd say not having to worry about stretchmarks, as my thin pregnant counterparts on another site I'm on are freaking out about this week. I've had them all over for years, one less thing to worry about.

Pictures?

i was thinking...

about requesting these from owner-san....

DVD
Gurren Lagann Vol. 1 ***Special Edition*** w/ CD (Sub Only)

Maternity Clothes

  • May. 14th, 2008 at 9:13 AM
I'm between a size 22/24 and 26/28 (or average 3x most places) normally, and I'm looking for cute maternity clothes! I've checked out Lane Bryant's maternity section, but there's so much black! I've also looked into my old stand-by's Torrid and Ross... I'd love to find Spring/Summer dresses with lots of color. Anyone have any leads?

*edit* I added two tags to this post but I'm not seeing them...

so just a quick post
